Help!!....Why is my corn yellow?!!!!?

I have planted corn plants in my garden....I guess 2 weeks ago....and the are turning yellow....any thoughts on that?....I grew them last year and bought them from the same garden centre with no problems...The only difference this year is that I forgot to grab organic fert and figured the first water with miracle grow would be ok then I'd pick up the good stuff....Could I have burned them?....Help!!

Generally when foliage turns yellow the plant wants copperas aka iron. You could try putting rusty nails in the ground around your corn.

Have you watered more or less than last year? I have been fertilizing my corn with MiracleGrow and it looks great. Ears are forming and they've only been in the ground - seeds - since the last of march.

Good luck!
Reply:Most likely a nitrogen or sulfur deficiency Report Abuse

Reply:thats really sad...yellow corn. very abnormal. I recommend you talk to the American Corn Society and report this IMMEDIATELY. this corn could be carrying diseases.
