Recognise this plant?

Climber with dark green leaves, all year. Medium size bunches of small white flowers (each about 1cm across 5 petals with a yellow centre). Flowers May to October. Bought from a garden centre years ago and now would like to get another but cant recal the name! Thanks.

sonds like potato vine which has no scent.(solanum)if scented and leaves are very glossy then it could be trachylospernum jasminoides
Reply:As the other person said it sounds like Jasmine but could also be clemetis. If it has leaves that look quite like ivy leaves it is probably Jasmine. But I am sure if you go to a good nursery they will be able to advise you.

Reply:As many other people said it is probably jasmine. To confirm this smell it when it blooms, if it is jasmine then it will be extremely fragrant
Reply:Sounds like Jasmine but you can take a piece to your garden centre and ask them. Or you could take a cutting from the one you have, they will advise you on how to do this also.
Reply:You have not mentioned that the vine is perfumed so would not say that this is a species of Jasmine, asJasmine is well know for its strong sweet scent and has small pink buds fading as the flower opens, also it doesnt have a yellow centre. I


If there is no scent then its more likely to be a variety of Solium jasminoides, as you say it has a yellow centre its probably Solium jasminoides" album".


I would advise you to take a specimen of the plant to your Garden Centre, someone there will be able to identify it for you .


There is a species of Clematis also that is evergreen, but very unlike it is that as its flowers are a lot larger than one 1cm and more petals
Reply:Take a small piece of the plant tback to the garden center and ask the experts there what it is. Then buy a new one.
Reply:Take cuttings, strip lower leaves, put in clear container of water to see if it will root. 1 - 2 weeks.





Take cuttings, strip lower leaves, dip in Rootone, and pot in light soil (or soilless soil like sphagnum moss) place pot in zip type plastic bag. When you see new growth you have roots and can remove the plastic bag.





Not enough info to guess what the vine is, but by propagating you will have more. Good luck

Reply:MUST BE JASMINE,IT CAN'T BE A CLEMATIS,BECAUSE THEY LOOSE THEIR LEAVES DURING WINTER.
