What to play and teach to a puppy?

I have just got a three month old puppy and he is so lovely! I was just wondering does anyone have any good tips for early training and any games? We have only had him a few days and we got him from a rescue centre so he's only been on one short walk and we aren't going to take him to the park yet so these need to be home and garden activities, thanx :)

What to play and teach to a puppy?
well i got a puppy on father's day. when i had a poodle the vet said if you want him to be house broken to put him in a small crate so that he won't have any space to use the bathroom. the crate will help so that he will learn how to hold it if he has to go. if you want yo could take him to PETSMART and they can help you with training also. some other ways you can train is sit, lay, paw, shake hand, and even up. for sit you show him the treat and say sit if he doesn't do it then don't give him the treat. you hould learn that at PETSMART. a game i would play is throwing a ball or playing tug-of-war!! if you have anymore questions put them up there and i will answer them.
Reply:It is very important for the puppy's safety to learn to sit, stay and give (drop, whatever you want to call it). I would also work on getting the puppy used to walking on a leash. It is good to take the dog to the park and around others early so he is socialized.

There are a lot of really good dog training books available. Just remember it takes a lot of patience and time to get him (and keep him) well-trained.
